A young girl accidentally discovers photos of his father's old life. Upon the discovery the father narrates to his daughter about their old life on the farm and how modernization is currently changing and affecting them.

Amidst the vast sugar plantations of Negros in Southern Philippines, a matriarch lies in the throes of death. Her children rush home to confront the crisis as news of the impending death of their well-loved mother spreads among the community. There, in their ancestral house, the siblings are forced to deal with the issues of inheritance, tradition and the family legacy. It is a familiar tale. After all, every family has its story. And to each one, its own deserved secrets.

Struggling with his class presentation about his father, an elementary student named Philip asks his infamous politician father, Freddy, to help him with preparations. After a very enthusiastic performance, He receives negative feedback that causes him to burst out with threats to his classmates. Freddy comforts him and assures Philip that everything will be alright as long as they both come to class the next day to “apologize”.

This film is composed of black and white images from the somber depths of Manila’s Sta. Mesa district, which are juxtaposed in the railroad system that metaphorically connects the lives of each individual in the community. Captured by a single camera and a keen eye, each moving picture is accompanied by stories of grief, misery, hope and inspiration.

The film is an exploration of the various ways of mitigating the catastrophic effects of marine plastic waste as seen from the perspective of different surfing communities in the Philippines.
