The story of a contemporary Robinson Crusoe, stranded on a desolate beach without any comforts, begins to question whether what he once considered comforts were actually illusions. It’s a search for freedom that moves from solitude to the acceptance of beauty, from consumerist recklessness to hunting for food to survive. An inverted environment that, in the end, doesn’t seem so far from his true self.

Giulio and Anna, the night after making love, wake up and try to start the day, but Giulio’s seemingly insurmountable fears rise to the surface. With deep understanding and tenderness, Anna tries to delve into these fears, offering a new perspective on life to someone who has already resigned himself to his fate.

Non Succederà Più tells a chapter of Giovanni Vestri’s life, divided into chapters, a prologue, and an epilogue. It is an intimate and personal work that I hope will make me smile in a few years. The film explores a passion for cinema, love for cherished places, and the bond with the special people surrounding my life.
