The film features a group of Afro-Mexican musicians from the Pacific Coast of Mexico. They live with the shore, speaking through their instruments and microphones about the traditions they cherish and the love of their homeland. Their music provides a space for the film to explore, encompassing both the historical depth and cultural characteristics of the local civilization, and paying homage to the people, the sea, and the land that exists here. Here, music not only flows with sheer beauty and passion, but is also the language that unites people.

Facundo Arteaga is a malambo dancer, who has already passed the barrier of thirties. His life is divided between work in the countryside and the care of his children. In spite of physical strain and lack of time, Facundo will try to compete again to try to get the title of national champion of malambo. According to tradition, whoever wins the championship can never compete again.

Still reeling from the loss of his wife, a grieving man goes to great lengths to see her again. But their reunion comes at a stunning cost.

It is the story of Alicia, a woman who finds a way to go to the other side, through a strange family, to reunite with her deceased son.
