In a Temple filled with lost treasures and protected by mysterious Mayan temple guards, six teams of two children compete to retrieve one of the historical artifacts in the Temple by performing physical stunts and answering questions based on history, mythology, and geography. After three elimination rounds, only one team remains, who then earns the right to go through the Temple to retrieve the artifact within three minutes and win a grand prize.

Mickey Grosman, a former special forces demolitions expert took a group of amateur adventurers on a nearly impossible journey across South America. Positioned as a charity trek for cancer awareness, participants were to be part of a 5,000-mile expedition across the continent through the deepest parts of the Amazon jungle. Only one claims to have made it to the end… Mickey Grosman.

The Moment of Truth was a game show based on the Japanese format Happy Family Plan that was produced by LWT and was broadcast on ITV from 5 September 1998 to 29 September 2001. It was hosted by Cilla Black. A similar show, Celebrities Under Pressure followed two years after The Moment of Truth ended. The format was strikingly similar, except that celebrities partook in challenges on behalf of the family, rather than a family member.
