Počitnice so. Starša Anice in Tomaža odhajata na dopust, onadva pa bosta ta čas preživela s Piko v njeni vila Čira Čara. Nekega dne v bližnjem jezeru Pika najde steklenico s sporočilom očeta kapitana, ki so ga ugrabili gusarji, njegovo posadko pa so pustili na pustem otoku. Od njega skušajo izvedeti kam je skril svoj zaklad. Pika se odloči oditi na pot skupaj s Tomažem in Anico s svojo nenavadno posteljo – balonom, da bi rešila očeta.

Unfortunately, the letter was damaged by water, and the latitude is known (37 degrees), but not the longitude. The Glenarvans decide to find Captain Grant.
