The islands of Indonesia remain a wild paradise. This series explores the incredible wildlife of this extraordinary environment and reveals the remarkable ways in which life has been created, adapted, and reborn over millions of years.

The cameras follow the lives of human and animal families living in Kenya’s Samburu National Reserve. They also follow the story of a safari camp run by wildlife expert Saba Douglas-Hamilton and an elephant conservation charity run by her husband Frank Pope.

This documentary series reveals the importance of our National Wildlife Refuge system, unique to the United States, and the hard work entailed in animal and habitat conservation. The system maintains millions of acres of wilderness and wetlands for endangered species and those animals that thrive in numbers.
