Russia, Current day. Gynecologist Angela Kuhlmann finds herself in a very uncomfortable situation: she has to leave Moscow and start working within a province. The city is experiencing difficult times: because of the newly built highway to Moscow, it sinks into fornication and sin. Soon after Ms. Kuhlmann performs an illegal abortion - the patient claims to carry the Antichrist within her womb and takes the embryo home with her. From that moment on, a series of strange incidents begin to occur within her life.

Invisible People is a multi-layered depiction of the unique Japanese contemporary dance Butoh that flows between revolt, eroticism, trance, prayer, ancestral experience, and physical anonymity. The film gradually drifts away from its core issue and becomes a general portrayal of life itself, with all its unforeseen strokes of fate and strange micro-connections.

But their ostensibly pragmatic plan backfires when Alex and Mari gradually develop an emotional bond with the unborn child.

Pauline, 17, suffers from sudden attacks of narcolepsy and is abused by her father. She is almost dead, emotionally and sexually, from these experiences. Pauline gets to know Ivan and tries to escape with him to a place that seems to resemble the ordinance of her attacks. But the attempt fails and ends in patricide.
