Two Captains

The creators explore what the cross is like as a cornerstone symbol for humanity, what its installation on Earth means for people and how this changed the picture of the world of peoples and generations.

Screen adaptation of Viktor Tikhomirov's book "Evgeniy Telegin and others. A poem in prose", built on the author's memories of meetings, events and moments from his life. Childhood impressions merge with memories of walks in the Summer Garden, accompanied by thoughts of Pushkin, rehearsals of the Aquarium group, and conversations with Sergey Kuryokhin and Viktor Tsoy.

The film is a reflection on the nature of the charm inherent in St. Petersburg, which never ceases to affect residents and visitors. The city forces those who find themselves in it to rise in their thoughts about it and about life to a philosophical level. St. Petersburg still remains mysterious, undeciphered and therefore endlessly attractive.

Russian writer Andrey Bitov and Georgian artist Rezo Gabriadze talk about Pushkin. The picture is made in the synthetic genre of animadoc — at the junction of documentary films and artistic animation.

Year 2017 would be the 100th Anniversary of the revolution in Russia. Film researches the reasons of the “Russian revolution”, First World War, external and internal conspiracies, which led to the collapse of the monarchy and traditional world order. Narration is build of quotes, memoirs and inferences of eyewitnesses. The facts are told based on the views of the authors of the film.
