When Emilý, a twenty-five year old content creator, learns that her long-distance girlfriend wants to move to Iceland and make their open relationship exclusive, she must face her anxieties about the future. All the while trying to support her teenaged co-worker and battle financial difficulties.
A middle aged worker does all he can to provide his wife and daughter with good living conditions. They are ungrateful and do not return his affections. When he has an accident at work and goes home in the afternoon, he finds the time to think about how to solve the communication problems in his family. This takes however an unforeseen route.
Three children take their grandfather to the graveyard to visit their dead grandmother. When they find out that granddad is tired of living and is actually waiting to die the children get confused, especially the youngest one. Granddad has to find a way to explain to her that death is not the worst thing in the world, which starts a chain of bizarre events. This becomes a learning full experience for the youngest one, even though it leads to a tragic ending.
A student in politics, Jón, is covering for his friend from school as an assistant in the kitchen of a remotely situated home for the disabled for one weekend. Strange working procedures at the home come to Jón´s attention. Disputes seem to be resolved by a secret voting and Jón thinks democracy is threatened. But all is not what it seems.
