עשר שנים לאחר מאורעות הסרט "פסיפיק רים", תוכנית ה-"ייגר" הפכה לאמצעי ההגנה המשמעותי ביותר שידעה האנושות. דור אחר דור מצטרפים עוד שחקני חיזוק לתוכנית ה-"ייגר" כדי למנוע את אותן מאורעות שכמעט גרמו להכחדת המין האנושי. וכעת, החשש של בני האדם בעולם עומד להתקיים ובפתח מלחמה עקובת מדם, האם תוכנית ה-"ייגר" תעשה זאת שוב?
