Kunsang Wangmo, known as “Mola”, is a 100 year old Buddhist nun, exiled from her homeland of Tibet in 1959 after the Chinese invasion along with her husband and two daughters. In India, her youngest daughter and husband tragically die, and she eventually escapes to Switzerland with her eldest daughter, Sonam Dolma, and Sonam’s new husband, Martin Brauen. Many years later, as the end of her life draws near, Mola decides that she wants to finally return to Tibet to die.

Oneka, a former 12-year-old child soldier escapes into his own fantasy, a world far away from his nightmarish present. The life he seeks fades the tighter he grips. He must choose his path, no matter how painful and difficult, between life and death and family.
