A beauty contest is staged in the barn of a low-IQ dimwit called The Colonel. As you probably guessed, the beauty contest doesn't last too long as The Colonel and his buddies get down to business with the contestants.

In early 20th century California, a young woman, Alicianne, takes a job as a nanny to a young girl, Rosalie Nordon, whose mother has recently died. On her way to the rural, secluded Nordon home, Alicianne meets a neighbor who warns her of the family's reputation. She soon meets the crabby, morbid Mr. Nordon, his awkward son Len, and the aloof Rosalie, who can seemingly animate objects when she is angry.

Pa, a moonshining chicken farmer, is worried that his dim-witted son Junior is becoming way more attracted to their cow Sassy Sue than he should be, so he sets out to gather up all the nubile young farmgirls in the area and get them to show Junior what he's missing.
