Fresh Wave

Seated in the front row of a funeral hall are a boy and a teenager, the picture of the deceased yet to be placed. A florist, Tung (Ai Wai), is consumed by grief but puts on a front for others. The boy drops by at the florist and orders a custom floral arrangement - a teddy bear-shaped wreath with his favourite yellow flowers — to be readied in three days' time and paid with money saved up in his piggy bank. Tung forges an unlikely friendship with his young customer, an encounter that releases bottled-up emotions so that healing process can begin.

For years single parent Mei Chun has been raising her mentally handicapped son Ray on her own. She is used to the challenges as an around-the-clock caregiver of the grown-up son. While her patience may wear thin at times, she remains tender and has formed a strong and unique bond with Ray. When a sudden sickness strikes, however, Mei Chun is burdened with a difficult decision. The night falls, but will dawn come?

Relationships with strangers can exist in all forms, including the most intimate ones. The two of them spy on each other in an open manner, slowly, their relationship deepens, while remaining strangers.

In our daydreams, we always dream about who we can be and what we can do. His mind may be focused on Tin Heng whom he idolises, but he cast his watchful and silent infatuated glances on Tsz Suen, Tin Heng's girlfriend and member of the girls' swimming team, who remains aloof and even apparently nonchalant about her boyfriend's death. Gei Yuen originally thinks Tsz Suen is dismissing her emotions to mask her sadness. However, he finds out that she is harbouring a secret...

Anger breeds anger, and hatred breeds hatred. Restaurant owner Mr. Wong stresses about the business when he has to face rent increases every year. Restless and tense, he channels his anger to Ka Yeung, the timid newest employee. Taunted by his customers, his boss and life in general, Ka Yeung is barely keeping his head above the water with his father being an unlicensed hawker. One incident escalates to another like a Greek tragedy and anger spirals out of control, causing irreparable outcome. This is a story about two men who live in an unforgiving city, both trying to find their way out but ended up hurting each other.
