The film tells about members of Finnish women's Lotta Service during the Second World War through the eyes of three young women.

The story of Finnish boxer Joni, who brings up a son Simppa from his relationship with Polish girlfriend Eva. The mother left them years ago and returned to Poland. Eve is about to marry, but she still loves Joni.

Crime caper involving two con artists who team up to pull off a super scam. Complications arise when the female member of the team falls in love with the male partner, who is mainly interested in the money.

A story about the life of reindeer emperor Mosku in Eastern Lapland at the beginning of the 20th century, when social conditions and the practice of traditional livelihoods are in transition. Mosku is involved in reindeer disputes and skirmishes and is also involved in the bandit hunt on the side of Soviet Russia led by Wallenius, the commander of the Lapland border guard.

Pentti Anttila is a journalist, who accidentally ends up in to a mental institution. There he meets a woman, who claims that she is being kept there by force. Penttilä starts to investigate the case and he ends up in to a little town named Järvensuu. There he drifts in to a conflict with the local mob.

The documentary is based on the director's mother and aunt (twin sisters) who grew up under the terrors of Soviet occupation in Estonia. The film itself is a mix of personal memories of the occupation/Stalin's concentration camps and old footage.
