The story of a blind dervish named Bab'Aziz and his spirited granddaughter, Ishtar. Together they wander the desert in search of a great reunion of dervishes that takes place just once every thirty years. With faith as their only guide, the two journey for days through the expansive, barren landscape.

A young girl is distressed by her growing realization that she is more and more like her sadistic grandmother. A conversation between two guys, apparently about an old car, takes an unexpected turn.

We all live in continuous hypnosis, and those people who awake from the dream and start to live their own lives frighten the rest of us. This film documents András Feldmár's thoughts, thoughts that make listeners very uneasy, thoughts that prompt us to search our souls. Through his thoughts we become acquainted with a man who continually searches his own soul and has a way of thinking that makes us very uneasy.

This film is about the relationship of a mother and her daughter, the split-up of their family, the blessing and curse of belonging together and about coming of age - all this from the perspective of the young girl Aglaja. The story is based on real-life events, an Eastern European circus artist family that fled to the West. If they want to stay in the circus business they have to make up an exotic act. The mother spends all their money to buy a very dangerous act: hanging by her hair high up in the dome of the circus while juggling with burning torches. Every night Aglaja is terrified by the fear of losing her mother. But, on some day, she has to follow the family tradition and become the "Woman with the Hair of Steel".

A Man, a Woman and a Boy. Three people in a timeless landscape. They don't know each other, their cultural background is undefined. They try to survive, each on his/her own. Slowly they start to get in some contact which is utterly mistrusting and occasionally hostile, but through various different situations it gradually starts to develop into relationships.

Zsuzsi and Sàndor are well-integrated foreigners: successful at work, the children healthy, their own house freshly made. But it does not work in bed anymore. A couple therapy could help. It quickly becomes clear that the happiness of the Barabássy couple is only seemingly perfect. Sàndor's dreams are too big and too materialistic, Zsuzsi's longing too indefinite to be satisfied. Luckily, Zsuzsi's mother in distant Budapest does not know about all this. Zsuzsi and her often talk on the phone - the only opportunity to exchange their native language. That changes when Zsuzsi's old friend Rita turns up unexpectedly with her boyfriend Istvan to shoot a documentary about Hungary abroad. All at once, the home is so close and your own husband so far away.
